You talk the talk but can you walk the walk?
Well, the simple answer to that one is no, actually.
The ambulatory skill left me abruptly
(it must be oh, what, seven years ago now? yes, easily seven years, if not eight).
I fell.
And what a fall was there my countrymen, and most of my dreams fell with me.
It was a fall from grace.
(Still, not to worry, eh, mustn’t grumble; things could be a lot worse I suppose …)
Here’s old Bob Dylan who put in a nutshell:
«We sit here stranded, though we’re doing our best to deny it.»

tom- you still have your sanity, your mind- to lose that is worse than everything else put together……………….if u lose your sanity u have nothing left, no capabilities, no peace, no centre and no hope. just look at KING LEAR! love donna xxx

Hi Tom
This is great. I love the colours. I am not really a fan of this type of art (I know nothing about art by the way!) but when I see it in the context of “knowing” the artist and “being in touch” it gives me a whole different perspective through which to view it. Your talent is to be envied.
My ambulatory skills are lessening as time goes by and I have only been like this for the past two years or so; I am still grieving the busy busy person I was.
We could “sit here stranded” and some days that’s exactly what I want to do and sometimes, in fact, do. But it does me no good and I have to “get up” and carry on.
And yes “things could be a lot worse”, we are aware of that but sometimes a statement like that doesn’t help and we suffer with what we suffer, it’s our pain and it is enough for us.
It’s been great for me so far to meet lovely people like yourself all finding our way along our own personal paths but converging for a little while on here to cheer each other up and “compare notes”. 🙂 🙂 (from the waiting room :))

Christine, thanks for reading & appreciating this post; like you, I get a buzz out communicating thoughts & feelings & the odd painting to receptive people (like yourself) a problem shared is not always a problem halved but sometimes it helps, it helps.
